First of all, Welcome to my Blog. And if you are still wondering why the title says: "Pebbles and Sand of our lives", then, read below:
"Two boys were given a jar, some Sand and some Pebbles. Each was asked to fill the jar with the sand and the pebbles. One of them filled the Sand first into the jar and then tried to fit the pebbles into the sand filled jar. The other filled in the pebbles first and then he poured the sand over the pebbles."
I need not tell you, who was smarter among the two.
Moral of the story being:
Having a Goal(PEBBLES) and then the Plan(SAND) to achieve it, will result in a concrete binding of ideas
than,
Having lots of plans, without a concrete Goal, where the GOALS and the PLANS are loosely bound to each other
This is one of the stories, which made me realise, how naively, a simple story can teach us a lesson, on the very fundamentals of planning and management.
It is my belief that stories can help us understand things better and stories like the one above are my reasons to believe so, and through this blog, I want to narrate stories - some for fun, some with a moral, some based on personal experiences etc.
